"Pride of the Sixth Fleet" USS Salem

*USS Salem*

Join us for a private small-group tour of the USS Salem (CA 139) at the United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum in Quincy, MA. Built in 1945, USS Salem served a distinguished 10 year career as flagship of the US Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean and the Second Fleet in the Atlantic. The world’s only preserved heavy cruiser, the The USS Salem is now moored at her birthplace in Quincy.

During our 2-hour private tour, experience life on board what was once one of the Navy’s most powerful class of cruisers in the world. Please note that the vessel is not ADA compliant and the tour will involve multiple ladders, staircases, and a long gangway to be climbed.

Following the tour, there will be an optional lunch at Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant.

Parking is available on site or the museum is convenient to the 220, 222, or 225 buses.

Reservation for the event is required and tickets cost $35 per person. Book your tickets online here. Registration closes on June 10th but space is very limited so this may sell out in advance.
